Tafari Medical Training Institute (TMTI) is expanding its programme portfolio with three new diploma-level qualifications currently in the licensing process. The Diploma in Nursing, Diploma in Laboratory Technology, and Diploma in Pharmacy Technology represent a significant step forward in TMTI's vision to become a leading medical training institution in Kenya and the wider region.
This programme will provide comprehensive training in clinical laboratory science, covering specimen handling, diagnostics, blood analysis, microbiology, and quality assurance. Graduates will be equipped to work in hospital laboratories, diagnostic centres, and public health programmes.
Aspiring pharmacy technologists will gain solid foundations in pharmaceutical sciences, drug dispensing, patient counselling, inventory management, and pharmacy law. The programme is designed to produce professionals who contribute meaningfully to safe medication use and patient outcomes.
The Diploma in Nursing will offer a comprehensive nursing education with strong clinical foundations, extensive hands-on practical exposure, and alignment with national healthcare standards and workforce needs. Graduates will be prepared for a wide range of clinical environments across Kenya.
All three diploma programmes are being developed in line with national regulatory requirements and international best practices in healthcare education. TMTI is committed to maintaining the same high standards of competency-based, ethics-driven training that has defined our Caregiver Certification Programme since inception.
We are excited about this next chapter in TMTI's journey. These new programmes will significantly expand access to quality healthcare training in Kenya, produce graduates who are globally competitive, and contribute meaningfully to strengthening healthcare systems at every level.
